Update 36.0 (2024-06-18)
- The following Mods are no longer eligible to be traded or sold from Inventory. Essentially, they have been given the same treatment as Mentor’s Legacy to prevent players from removing Mods that can only be acquired once. If you have already sold the following Mods, you can submit a ticket to our fantastic Support Team at support.warframe.com.

Update 34.0 (2023-10-18)
- Base vs Final Stats in Modding - Health / Energy / Shield / Armor Stat Overhaul
If you’ve spent any time invested in the deeper nuances of Modding, you may be familiar with “Warframe Math” - math that upon first glance doesn’t really make sense, but once you learn the inner workings of the game, it all comes together. While we can appreciate the value that complex systems offer to a certain subsect of players, there are other aspects of the game that should have clear and understandable outcomes. Namely: Shield, Health, Energy, and Armor Modding.
Pop quiz: what is 300 + 440%? If you answered 740, you may just be an Excalibur player.
Vitality (+440% Heath), Redirection (+440% Shields), Flow (+150% Energy), and Steel Fiber (+110% Armor) come with large modifier values that don’t seem to match their outcome in-game. This is because these Mods apply their multiplier to the base stats of the Warframe - i.e., the stats you have at Rank 0. In the Excalibur example, a Rank 30 Excalibur’s Health stat of 300 earns an additional 440 Health from max rank Vitality (+440% Heath) since it applies to his base rank Health stat of 100, resulting in 740 total health.
In this update, we have removed this obfuscation by having Health, Shield, Energy, and Armor Mods apply to the stats of Warframes at their current rank. Continuing our Excalibur example, instead of Vitality always applying to Excalibur’s base rank 100 Health, it would apply to his Health stat based on his rank - namely, the stat you can actually see in your Arsenal. If your Excalibur were Rank 30, his Health stat would be 300, which means Vitality’s multiplier would be calculated off of 300.
With previous Health and Mod values, additional adjustments are needed to make this revision work while maintaining game balance. By only changing where the multiplier applies, a Rank 30 Excalibur would receive an extra 1,320 Health from max rank Vitality, resulting in a total health stat of 1,600. This outcome is a significant buff, which is not the intention of this system change.
To remedy this, we approached this problem in two ways:
1 - We reduced the overall multiplier for Health, Shield, Energy, and Armor Mods.
Since these now affect Max Rank Warframe stats, these Mods need to scale differently to maintain the status quo. Additionally, we wanted these new values to be as clear and understandable to all players as possible! Here are a few examples of these value changes:
- Vitality: Reduced from +440% to +100% Health
- Redirection: Reduced from +440% to +100% Shield Capacity
- Steel Fiber: Reduced from +110% to +100% Armor
- Flow: Reduced from +150% to +100% Energy Max
Doing some quick math, this means that a Rank 30 Excalibur (300 Health) with a reworked Vitality Mod (+100% Health, applied to the final Health stat) would receive 300 extra Health, for a total of 600. That, in contrast, is a nerf, which we also don’t want to do.
So, our next step:
2 - We adjusted Warframe Health, Shield, Energy, and Armor values to keep the end result of the revised Mods as close to the original values as possible.
With this change, Excalibur’s Rank 30 Health stat is 370. With +100% Health from a max Vitality Mod, his resulting Health stat would be 740, which matches what it was originally.
While this path to the same result may seem a little complicated, the outcome matches our intention: we want players to be able to look at their Health, Shield, and Armor Mods, and be able to understand how they affect the stats they see in their Arsenal.
In addition to everything above, we also increased the base stat values for Warframes so that these revised Mods offer similar value for lower-ranked Frames. To do so, we reduced the amount of Health/Shield/Energy that Warframes earn per rank in half, and transferred the sum of that value to their base stats.
Warframe Mod Changes:
- Primed Vigor: +75% Shield Capacity, +75% Health (was +220% each)
Hotfix 19.5.7 (2017-01-06)
- Fixed a Login reward Mod being tradeable.
Hotfix 19.5.6.1 (2017-01-05)
- Introduced

Main reason for the existence of this mod must be to use it as a trap, devs must think there must be people out there who seriously pick this trash before the other mods lol
Primed Shred is at least twice as trash as this is
This could be good on nova prime, since she has shields and health both at the same amount
It got buffed hard with this base shield/health rework.
It was 220% Health + 220% Shield, 50% of the value of Redirection + Vitality which were both at 440%.
It is now 75% Health + 75% Shield, 75% of the value of Redirection + Vitality which are both at 100%.
...And it's back in the trash. It's now only 42% of Primed Redirection.
Primed redirection doesn't give health :)
Who said it does?
I really wish there was a Primed Carapace instead that increased health and armour. Like, generally speaking, you either wanna shield stack or your wanna health stack (or neither), but you don't really wanna be doing both.
The only use I can see with this is on Harrow, Hildryn and Styanax because having more shields is beneficial to their kit (and Harrow can frankly use a bit of extra health as a safety measure).
If you use Parasitic Armor from Helminth you kinda have this Health + Armor combo from it.
Why is this considered bad? the +220% to both shield and health seem really good especially since it can be used with vitality and redirection
Its usually not worth doubling down on Health mods. You either get more out of armor if you already have a health mod, or just anything else that will actually help your abilities.
I'll pass on this.
This is very stupid, I've been playing for 400 hours and I literally can't obtain this mod... Why is this a thing? Pure frustration especially considering the money I've sunk into this game...
It's given as a login reward. "This mod is exclusive to the Daily Tribute system. It will become available at day 200, 400, 600 and 900,"
The mod is completely useless, why be upset about not being able to get it?
This mod should be buffed all the way to 440% shield capacity and health like redirection and vitality mods or atleast 330% shield capacity and health as another tenno below suggested.
Seeing as it stacks with vitality and redirection it can be quite useful for certain builds/frames, like harrow
Best use is a parasitic armor rhino, to maximize shield capacity in order to gain a larger boost to armor and thus iron skin.
Personally use this for Harrow Prime
Hit the sweet 1k shields while gaining a boost of health
No mod is useless if you make it good
This guy got his wish
The best mod ever, fits in every single build and very accessible
/s
NO
Actually good with harrow, inaros, hildryn
But mostly useless
This mod should be buff to increase by 30% on each level so it ends up being a 330/330. As it stands, its pretty limited imo considering the high drain it has.
https://i.imgur.com/5yWVV2N.png shouldn't this be changed to 200/400/600/900 days, or at least to 200 days?
It takes already 200 days if you didnt see
Is there a way to check how many days you have been on? i have been playing on and off for about 3 years and haven't seen any of these mods.
I'm at 770 hours at day 116 ( <_>)
100 hours day 87 lol
This game doesn't love the 'on-and-off' players like us...
The trick is just to log in each day to advance the login day counter, literally... boot up game, get daily login reward, log out again, takes you 30 seconds to 1 minute a day.
i think this is underpowered for what it gives and when you get it.
I just got it as one of my options on my 200th day login reward, and i dont know if its fixed so it might be different for you.
solid pick for replacing redirection on most builds, or replacing vitality on shield-heavy frames like Hildryn.
Yes and he wants the energy shield and something to replace the health to go along with Hildryn lol
When people complain but don't get their point.
The reason you'd place a little bit of health on a shield heavy frame is because toxin damage will murder you if you don't
Note: Hildryn overshields can prevent status damage, so toxin damage/status will not hurt health when overshields present in current versions. I would rather consider augur accord for less cost.
Ok even if you don’t have overshields just use the arcane that gives you full toxin resistance
Problem solved
This works well on gauss, you want a bit more health to survive the toxic and slash procs, and the increase in shields synergises with his passive abilities (120% shield regen and 80% reduced shield recharge delay).
Gauss works better with Quick Thinking, his 2+passive generates energy faster than he can spend it so you might as well put it to use as health.
This should be 360/360, right? I know that would be 3x stronger than regular Vigor, but regular Vigor is entirely worthless. At 220, it’s often outclassed by regular Vitality or Redirection. Meanwhile, Umbral Vitality (effectively a Primed mod with a set bonus attached), gives something like 500 health, 700 with set. Completely outclassing Primed Vigor on anyone but Hyldrin.
Harrow much?
No space on harrow when adaptation exists and you want to buff harrow's abilities as well. Primed vigor is the worst primed warframe mod in the game hands down because shields are only good if you run adaptation otherwise they are useless outside hildryn and harrow a little but even harrow shield wise the only ability to benefit from more shields is his fire rate ability duration.
cough cough Chroma
The difference is that you can use both Vitality and Vigor or Redirection and Vigor or all 3. On my Nekros prime build, having more health is always nice so using both Umbral Vitality and Primed Vigor is bishin
I can confirm I got it today as my day 200 reward. I got to choose between Primed Vigor, Primed Shred and Primed Fury. I dont know if my decision was smart tho. I consider myself a fairly "new" player. I played in 2014, quit the game for about 4 1/2 years, came back this spring. So.. An idk 8000 health Inaros seemed like to me.. :)
So confused, is it 200 or 400 days?
200/400/600/1200/++
You will have a choice to pick between 3 primed mods.
It's 200/400/600/900 Also on day 400 and the later mod milestones you also get to pick Primed Sure Footed so it's 4 mods.
400 day gave me the option of Zenith or Sigma & Octantis
200 Day Milestone has this as an option. Just saw it today.
Just saw acquisition, nvm.
