Acquisition Citrine's main and component blueprints can be obtained from Rotation C of Mirror Defense Tyana Pass on Mars, whose access requires completion of Heart of Deimos. Alternatively they can be purchased from Otak in the Necralisk, Deimos with  Belric Crystal Fragment and  Rania Crystal Fragment; the neuroptics and chassis blueprints cost 350 of each fragment type, while the systems cost 350 Rania Crystal Fragments but only 300 Belric Crystal Fragments; the main blueprint costs 500 of each fragment type. To acquire all of the blueprints this way it would total up to 1,550 Rania Crystal Fragments and 1,500 Belric Crystal Fragments. When the Sentients began their advance on Deimos, the couple set off a bio-bomb, releasing the Infestation on the moon. Instead of fleeing, Citrine chose to sacrifice herself, transmuting the couple's bodies into crystals to prevent them from being infested. After Deimos returned to Martian orbit, smugglers discovered that separating Belric and Rania's remains would create a Void tunnel through the fabric of reality, linking the two together; a Conceptual Embodiment of their love. In addition to the tunnel, the Void would also generate Citrine's Remnants; small crystal fragments formed from Citrine's desire to protect the couple in her final moments. Collecting enough of them will spawn one of Citrine's  Prismatic Gems above one of the crystal formations, aiding in its protection. Notes Trivia Citrine is the 52nd unique Warframe to be released. Citrine debuted in Devstream 167 showcasing her concept art drawn by Keith Thompson, screenshots of her in-game model, and work-in-progress Idle Animations, which were demonstrated with a model consisting of  Loki Prime's head attached to  Saryn Prime's body. Her concept art placeholder name was Stalactus, referring to the word stalactite. Stalactites are mineral formations that solidify and hang from cave, hot spring, and structural ceilings. Given Ballas' description of a Warframe's organs being interlinked with "untold resilience" by the infestation reagents, Citrine's appearance (of having windows into missing/modified organs as well as deep gashing cuts for increasing the exposure of inner surfaces) suggests that her important organs were, in classic brutal Orokin fashion, turned into a functional part of what makes her a war machine. Citrine is a mineral variant of quartz known for its yellowish/golden coloration and rarity in nature. Commercially sold citrines are heat-treated amethysts with a brownish/orange hue. It is coined the "merchant's stone", "money stone", and "success stone", in belief that those who possess such item become prosperous. Her work-in-progress appearance featured purple geode fissures across her body, which resemble real-world amethysts or the lore-based  Argon Crystal and  Amarast. Her finalized appearance sports yellowish and orange gems that resemble  Dagonic and  Heciphron, which are found on Deimos, within proximity to Mars where Citrine's scattered components reside. Alongside  Zephyr, Citrine is the second original Warframe to release in a February Update. Unlike the trend of new releases, Citrine was not featured in the Warframe Launcher main welcome screen; the featured spotlight model animations were Rhino Deathwatch Skin and Otak. Her titular update also did not receive unique login screen music, instead defaulted to the Tenno drumbeats linked with the 10th anniversary of the game. https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/File:TenthAnniversaryLoginMusic.ogg (download, history) Edit Tab  Citrine emits a healing aura within a radius of 50 meters, granting the Geoluminesence buff to herself and allies that continuously recover a base 5 Health points per second. Whenever she picks up a regular Health Orb,  Dispensary produced Empowered variant, or  Transmutation Probe converted Universal Orb, regeneration rate is permanently increased by 0.1 points, up to a maximum heal rate of 25 points per second after collecting 200 Health Orbs. Until her passive reach max stacks, Citrine innately can always collect Health Orbs to increase her passive healing even when unharmed. Allies gain or lose Geoluminesence whenever they enter or exit Citrine's Passive radius. Passive heal rate is indicated by a diamond-shaped UI indicator above the ability icons. The accumulated passive value occupies the upper red triangle, while  Preserving Shell's real-time damage reduction and remaining duration countdown curve occupy the lower orange triangle, only appearing when the ability is active. Geoluminesence is displayed both in Citrine's UI indicator and as a Buff icon beside her and her squadmates' hitpoints indicators. Abilities Input table not loaded. Citrine expends 25 Energy to flick a seeking cluster of crystal shards over a sight detection cone spanning 14 meters. Enemies struck by her crystals receive 250 / 300 / 400 / 500  Impact and  Slash damage with guaranteed status effects. While afflicted with  Slash status from this ability, affected enemies have a crystal hovering above their heads to indicate 50% Health Orb drop chance and 20% Energy Orb drop chance on death. Orb drop chances modded above 100% yield a guaranteed orb and a chance to drop a second orb. Drop chance percentage in decimals is rounded down to the nearest whole number in-game. Fractured Blast damages and breaks destructible Objects in the environment bypassing its line of sight restriction. Ability Synergy: Increased Health Orb drop chance allows Citrine to strengthen her Geoluminesence Passive. Fractured Blast contributes kills and assists to increase  Preserving Shell's damage reduction. If Citrine casts Fractured Blast while standing inside  Prismatic Gem's aurora, the  Impact and  Slash status duration are extended, while the gem sweeps its beam to each impacted enemy individually in rapid succession to inflict one instance of damage and a set of status effects. Can be recast while active. Slashing already affected enemies extends the orbs drop chance kill window. Casting Fractured Blast is an upper-body animation that allows movement and Maneuvers while interrupting other actions. Subsuming Citrine to the Helminth will offer Fractured Blast and its augments to be used by other Warframes. However, Subsumed Fractured Blast's damage is reduced to 125 / 150 / 200 / 250, Health Orb drop chance reduced to 25%, and Energy Orb drop chance reduced to 10%.Tips & Tricks The increased Orb drop rate allows Citrine to effectively make use of  Health Conversion,  Energy Conversion,  Equilibrium,  Arcane Energize,  Arcane Eruption,  Arcane Pulse, and  Arcane Blessing. Recast on already affected enemies to extend the time needed to kill them for orb drops. Use the damage numbers from  Slash status to visually keep track of the enemies' whereabouts, even when hidden behind obstacles. Select bright energy colors to make the floating crystal indicator overhead more visible.  Impact status interrupts the enemy's actions. Since Fractured Blast uses a quick upper-body animation, Citrine can use this brief moment of opportunity to immediately follow up with weapon attacks or other abilities. 250 Preserving Shell Citrine guards herself and nearby allies with a crystalline shell that gradually decays. Kills and assists increase the defensive power of the shell. On cast, Citrine also inflicts  Stagger on enemies within a radius of 8 meters and  Knockback by 2 meters. Allies gain or lose Preserving Shell whenever they enter or leave Citrine's Affinity Range. Companions and other allied NPCs do not receive Preserving Shell. Preserving Shell lasts for 18 / 20 / 22 / 25 seconds, during which Damage Reduction begins at 10% / 20% / 30% / 40%, then after a 1 second delay it continuously decays per second until pausing at 10% / 20% / 25% / 25% minimum damage reduction and resuming decay when above the threshold. Decay rate changes when total damage reduction reaches its thresholds, alternating from -1% per second when between 25% to 75% damage reduction, to -3% per second when between 75% to 90% damage reduction. Modded initial damage reduction percentage is rounded down to the nearest whole number. While active, the lower half of the diamond-shaped UI indicator above the ability icons appears, tracking the current damage reduction value and this ability's remaining duration via a countdown curve. Damage reduction value is displayed in real-time as a buff icon beside Citrine and her squadmates' hitpoints indicators. Multiple Citrines in the squad can stack Preserving Shell's damage reduction multiplicatively. While active, kills and assists made by Citrine will pause the decay for 2 seconds and increase total damage reduction by 3% per kill and 1% per assist. Damage reduction is capped at a maximum value of 90%, whether earned via kills and assists, or modded with at least 225%  Ability Strength at ability rank 3. Modded damage reduction per kill percentage in decimals is rounded down to the nearest whole number, whereas per assist is rounded up. Ability Synergy: Can be recast while active to preserve the current damage reduction value if above the minimum threshold, or return to initial damage reduction if the current value is lower, while also refreshing to full duration. Casting Preserving Shell is a full-body animation that displaces Citrine into the air and allows slowed directional movement, but interrupts other actions. 375 Prismatic Gem Deploy a gem that shoots prismatic beams. The gem targets enemies that are taking weapon damage from Citrine and her allies. Its beams inflict Heat, Cold, Toxin, and Electricity Status Effects. Status Chance and Status Duration increase for nearby allies. The Prismatic Gem is an untargetable Invulnerable floating object that lasts for 23 / 25 / 27 / 30 seconds, during which it emits a rainbow aurora spanning a radius of 10 / 12 / 13 / 15 meters. The gem object is not affected by gravity and remains intangible to other entities, allowing players, enemies, and their attacks to phase through it. When deploying, the gem slides above higher terrain elevation in its travel path and stops movement on collision with walls. Citrine can move the aiming reticle during the casting animation before she fully summons the gem, to push it forward to the desired direction. Prismatic Gem's rainbow aurora enhances Status Effect application from Citrine and her allies' weapons in various ways: Citrine and allied Warframes inside the aurora gain a 60% / 70% / 85% / 100% Status Chance bonus for their weapons, and 60% / 70% / 85% / 100% Status Duration bonus for both weapons and abilities. Status chance percentage bonus is displayed as a Prismatic Gem buff icon beside Citrine and her squadmates' hitpoints indicators. Status duration bonus remains hidden. While affected by status bonuses, Citrine and her allies are visually followed by burrowing mineral deposits that puncture through the horizontal surface directly below them. Movement causes the minerals to retract and re-emerge in response while creating digging sounds. When Citrine or her allies inside the aurora lands a weapon attack on an enemy, or when an enemy inside the aurora is hit by a weapon attack from Citrine or her allies from anywhere, the Prismatic Gem projects 1 light beam for each individual ally onto the targeted enemies. Each beam attacks 1 target then induces a 0.4 seconds delay before Prismatic Gem can generate another beam triggered by the same ally. Eligible allies include other Warframes, Companions, summoned allied units such as Specters, Air Support Charges or On Call Crew, allied Invasion units, Hostages, converted Liches and Sisters, Kavor Defectors, and Sortie and Arbitrations Defense Operatives. Prismatic Gem does not require line-of-sight with its target to strike them with its beams. Multiple consecutive hits from continuous fire, beam, and other rapid-fire weapons will allow the gem to focus its beams onto the same target. Multiple beams for different allies from the same Prismatic Gem may attack separate numbers of targets per second. Weapons with deployable extensions such as  Azima and  Zenistar trigger Prismatic Gem when the owner is standing in the aurora or when they hit enemies inside it. Each beam deals 4 hits in rapid succession per attack, dealing 500 / 650 / 800 / 1,000  Heat,  Cold,  Electricity, and then  Toxin damage, with each hit proccing its respective damage type. The gem's beam possesses unrestricted range and bypasses all obstacles in the environment to strike its target. Ability Synergy: Enemies hit by  Fractured Blast while Citrine is inside the Prismatic Gem's aurora will extend its  Impact and  Slash status duration, while the gem sweeps its beam to each impacted enemy individually in rapid succession to inflict one instance of damage and a set of status effects. Prismatic Gem contributes kills and assists to increase  Preserving Shell's damage reduction. Can be recast while active. Only 1 gem may be active at once; recasting will remove the previous crystal and place a new one. Casting Prismatic Gem is a full-body animation that interrupts all movement, Maneuvers, and other actions. Ability is not dispelled when Citrine herself enters an ability nullification zone. The gem is destroyed when it enters an ability nullification zone or when Citrine falls out of bounds.Tips & Tricks Greatly synergizes with  Galvanized Aptitude,  Galvanized Savvy,  Galvanized Shot, and  Condition Overload. Even weapons with low status chance will make highly effective use of these mods when used in the gem's range. Because of its ability to inflict status effects, Prismatic Gem synergizes well with some of the Archon mods such as  Archon Continuity,  Archon Flow,  Archon Stretch and  Archon Vitality. Synergizes well with status-activated weapon arcanes such as  Primary Frostbite,  Conjunction Voltage, and  Cascadia Flare. These buffs will stack and refresh their duration each time Citrine or any of her allies cause Prismatic Gem to fire a beam at any target. Prismatic Gem reacts to weapon attacks made by Companions, allowing for semi-automated gem beams within the companion's attack range. Equip a Sentinel with the continuous beam weapons ( Artax,  Cryotra,  Tazicor, and  Verglas), or high fire rate weapons ( Burst Laser,  Multron,  Stinger, and  Deth Machine Rifle) to maximize auto-target acquisition frequency by the gem. Control the Sentinel's attack range by equipping targeting mods, such as  Carrier's  Striker (10 meters),  Assault Mode (30 meters),  Djinn's  Thumper (60 meters), and  Diriga's  Calculated Shot (70 meters). Zoom mods such as  Eagle Eye equipped on their weapon further extend this targeting range. In cooperative squads, deploy the gem near her allies to assist them with status bonuses and help Citrine secure assists and kills to sustain  Preserving Shell's damage reduction. This is particularly useful whenever Citrine does not have line of sight to enemies from her position to fire her ranged weapon or use  Fractured Blast to focus-fire the gem. Due to the sheer quantity of various damage per second from  Heat,  Electricity and  Toxin status effects, Prismatic Gem excels at securing the lethal hit on enemies for Citrine. Be cautious around destructible objects such as explosive and nitrogen canisters, as the  Blast and  Cold status effects are affected by Prismatic Gem's status duration buff. 4100 Crystallize Citrine summons crystal fractals. The fractals rush forward, seeking enemies. Enemies touched by the fractals are paralyzed crystalline growths. Hit the growths to deal Critical Damage. Introduced in Update 32.3 (2023-02-15)  Strength:250 / 300 / 400 / 500  Impact damage  Duration:5 / 6 / 7 / 8 s  Range:30 m Misc: 190° sight detection cone1 growth per enemy=300% absolute critical chance Info Citrine expends 100 Energy to briefly rise before slamming into the ground. Upon landing, she summons fissures of crystalline fractals that rapidly travel and splinter while homing in towards all enemies within a 190° degrees sight detection cone spanning 30 meters. Upon reaching their targets, fractals inflict 250 / 300 / 400 / 500  Impact damage while immobilizing each enemy inside 1 large crystal growth for 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 seconds. Hitting the growth directly sets weapon Critical Chance to 300%. For Hitscan weapons, but not continuous or projectile weapons, critical damage is multiplied by 2x in addition to the critical chance bonus. Sight detection occurs the moment Citrine slams into the ground. If she moves the aiming reticle and pans the camera away during the jump, enemies visible inside Citrine's player camera angle before the slam are not included in Crystallize's targeting. Casting the ability while looking straight up or down allows the detection cone to encompass a 360° radial area, with height elevation difference accounted for by the additional 10°~ degrees angle. Splinters will normally travel across the ground, but can move through the air in order to reach their targets. Once targeted by Crystallize, fractal splinters will bypass environmental and generated barriers such as Arctic Eximus globes to reach them. Crystal growths extend diagonally skyward away from the enemy, creating an enlarged object hitbox that also encompasses the body part where the crystal takes root. Growths point toward the front, back, left or right sides, growing from one of the following body parts by random assignment on cast: head, chest, shoulders, arms, thighs, and legs. Growths can clip through obstacles and terrain in the environment, allowing the crystal to be hit through walls. Set Critical Chance ignores all other modifiers, whether from mods or Warframe abilities. However, the Vigilante set mods can increase the damage to that of a Tier-4 critical hit. Enemies protected by Overguard are still targeted by Crystallize, which inflicts all of its effects except crowd control immobilization. Ability Synergy: Crystallize contributes kills and assists to increase  Preserving Shell's damage reduction. Can be recast while active when at least one new enemy is in range and line-of-sight, but will not hit enemies already affected by Crystallize. Casting Crystallize is a full-body animation that displaces Citrine into the air before forcing her into a diving sequence. While in the air, Citrine can reposition horizontally and aim the reticle at her intended landing spot. Ability is not dispelled if Citrine falls out of bounds or enters an ability nullification zone.Augment Main article: Recrystalize Recrystalize is a Warframe Augment Mod for  Citrine that allows  Crystallize to spread to additional enemies when crystalized foes are killed by shooting the growths. RecrystalizeTips & Tricks Particularly potent against Guardian Eximus enemies, since the crystal growth extends from the body through the rotating invulnerable riot shields that block most ranged attacks. Weapons with a high critical multiplier and good accuracy but low critical chance, such as  Basmu's primary fire, can benefit immensely from Crystallize. Strength Mods Duration Mods Range Mods Edit Tab Update 35.5 (2024-03-27) NEW WARFRAME AUGMENT MODS 11 new Warframe Augment Mods are available from Syndicate Offerings! Stats below are shown at Max Rank. Recrystalize (Citrine - Crystallize) Enemies killed by crystalline growths stagger and spread the crystals to enemies within 16m. Available in the Red Veil and Steel Meridian offerings. Update 35.0 (2023-12-13) The crystal fractals on Citrine’s Crystallize will now disappear more quickly to reduce overall visual clutter. This does not impact the duration of the Crystalline Growths on foes -- we simply adjusted the ability effects where they search out foes. Update 34.0 (2023-10-18) Base vs Final Stats in Modding - Health / Energy / Shield / Armor Stat Overhaul If you’ve spent any time invested in the deeper nuances of Modding, you may be familiar with “Warframe Math” - math that upon first glance doesn’t really make sense, but once you learn the inner workings of the game, it all comes together. While we can appreciate the value that complex systems offer to a certain subsect of players, there are other aspects of the game that should have clear and understandable outcomes. Namely: Shield, Health, Energy, and Armor Modding. Pop quiz: what is 300 + 440%? If you answered 740, you may just be an Excalibur player. Vitality (+440% Heath), Redirection (+440% Shields), Flow (+150% Energy), and Steel Fiber (+110% Armor) come with large modifier values that don’t seem to match their outcome in-game. This is because these Mods apply their multiplier to the base stats of the Warframe - i.e., the stats you have at Rank 0. In the Excalibur example, a Rank 30 Excalibur’s Health stat of 300 earns an additional 440 Health from max rank Vitality (+440% Heath) since it applies to his base rank Health stat of 100, resulting in 740 total health. In this update, we have removed this obfuscation by having Health, Shield, Energy, and Armor Mods apply to the stats of Warframes at their current rank. Continuing our Excalibur example, instead of Vitality always applying to Excalibur’s base rank 100 Health, it would apply to his Health stat based on his rank - namely, the stat you can actually see in your Arsenal. If your Excalibur were Rank 30, his Health stat would be 300, which means Vitality’s multiplier would be calculated off of 300. With previous Health and Mod values, additional adjustments are needed to make this revision work while maintaining game balance. By only changing where the multiplier applies, a Rank 30 Excalibur would receive an extra 1,320 Health from max rank Vitality, resulting in a total health stat of 1,600. This outcome is a significant buff, which is not the intention of this system change. To remedy this, we approached this problem in two ways: 1 - We reduced the overall multiplier for Health, Shield, Energy, and Armor Mods. Since these now affect Max Rank Warframe stats, these Mods need to scale differently to maintain the status quo. Additionally, we wanted these new values to be as clear and understandable to all players as possible! Here are a few examples of these value changes: Vitality: Reduced from +440% to +100% Health Redirection: Reduced from +440% to +100% Shield Capacity Steel Fiber: Reduced from +110% to +100% Armor Flow: Reduced from +150% to +100% Energy Max Note: These are not all of the Mods affected by this change. We share the comprehensive list further down in this section of the update notes. Doing some quick math, this means that a Rank 30 Excalibur (300 Health) with a reworked Vitality Mod (+100% Health, applied to the final Health stat) would receive 300 extra Health, for a total of 600. That, in contrast, is a nerf, which we also don’t want to do. So, our next step: 2 - We adjusted Warframe Health, Shield, Energy, and Armor values to keep the end result of the revised Mods as close to the original values as possible. With this change, Excalibur’s Rank 30 Health stat is 370. With +100% Health from a max Vitality Mod, his resulting Health stat would be 740, which matches what it was originally. While this path to the same result may seem a little complicated, the outcome matches our intention: we want players to be able to look at their Health, Shield, and Armor Mods, and be able to understand how they affect the stats they see in their Arsenal. In addition to everything above, we also increased the base stat values for Warframes so that these revised Mods offer similar value for lower-ranked Frames. To do so, we reduced the amount of Health/Shield/Energy that Warframes earn per rank in half, and transferred the sum of that value to their base stats. For Armor, this is the one stat that does not increase with your Warframe’s level (with some exceptions). Armor values across the board have been slightly increased to compensate for the Mod changes. Not to beat a dead Kaithe, but Mods will now be applying to the Max Rank stat instead of the Base Rank. You may look at these numbers and think “nerf” or “buff” depending, but the outcome is that total Modded values are the same, if not a little higher in some cases. Warframe Stat Changes: CITRINE Health: Base Rank - 400 (from 135) / Max Rank - 500 (from 405) Shields: Base Rank - 270 (from 100) / Max Rank - 370 (from 300) Armor: Base Rank - 265 (from 250) Energy: Base Rank - 130 (from 120) / Max Rank - 180 (from 180) While there may be significant changes to Warframe Stats and Mod values as a part of this overhaul, the end result is that your Builds should mostly stay the same. The key difference is the added clarity of what your Health / Shield / Energy / Armor Mods do in your Upgrade screens! Update 33.0 (2023-04-26) Fixed Citrine’s Fractured Blast not affecting ragdolled enemies. Hotfix 32.3.6 (2023-03-15) Made slight changes to Citrine’s noble animation set FX timing. Also adjusted left arm movement. Fixed Citrine’s Prismatic Gem disappearing when she enters a Nullifier bubble. This is consistent with other Warframe abilities such as Chroma’s Effigy, where his pelt remains active outside of the bubble regardless of if Chroma enters it. Fixed Citrine Specters not using abilities. Hotfix 32.3.5 (2023-02-28) Increased the number of enemies Citrine’s Prismatic Gem can attack per second from 1 to 2.5. Fixed several leg armor attachment issues with Citrine. More fixes to come! Hotfix 32.3.4 (2023-02-23) Fractured Blast can now hit breakable environment items (crates, barrels, etc.). Made adjustments to the sound mixing for Citrine’s abilities. Fixed the crystals from Citrine’s Crystalize ability on enemies (especially non-humanoid enemies like Chargers and Ospreys) having unreliable hit detection when hit, which made it difficult to trigger its bonus Critical Damage. Fixed Citrine’s Crystalize bonus Critical Damage not triggering when hitting its crystal formations with the Convectrix. Fixed being unable to chat-link Citrine’s Component Blueprints. Added acquisition help text to Citrine’ Blueprint descriptions in the in-game Market. Hotfix 32.3.3 (2023-02-17) Fixed more Syandanas having issues when equipped by Citrine. This should be the last of these fixes! Hotfix 32.3.2 (2023-02-16) Added Ability videos to Citrine in the Arsenal. Hotfix 32.3.1 (2023-02-15) Increased the travel speed of Citrine’s Crystallize fractals. Updated the sound mixing for Citrine’s Crystallize ability. Fixed clipping issues for Citrine on many pieces of Leg Armor. Fixed positioning issues for Citrine with many Syandanas.
